We've added a new FREE Alternate Pocket PDF pattern piece for the Burnside Bibs pattern. You can download the pattern here.  

This straight edge pocket with an angled corner is a fun alternative to the curved pocket in the original pattern. This may just be the reason you need to make that second pair of Burnside Bibs you've been thinking about. The instructions for this pocket only vary a little but I'm posting the steps here anyhow.

ALTERNATE POCKET

Finish the edges.

Apply the Pocket Facing as usual.

Fold the inner sides up 3/8" and press.

Pin the Pocket to the Front Pant aligning the notches.

Stitch the Pocket in place. I like to use two rows of stitching to mimic a double needle topstitch. Edgestitch all the way around the pocket and bast the side and top edges. 

Continue the rest of the pattern as usual.
