This is the softest, yummiest light-weight linen. I typically have to wash my linens a few times and sometimes with vinegar to soften them up. This linen, however,is already pretty soft and softened up even more after the first wash. It's dreamy soft and could even be used for sheets or bedding. It would be so comfortable to wear as a blouse or lined dress. The weave tightens up and isn't quite as sheer after washing.
Linen - Pale Pink - Deadstock
This is a "deadstock" fabric meaning that it was left over from a design house or fabric mill and sold to a jobber before it reached our hands. Often the content of deadstock fabrics isn't known for certain but is a best educated guess after conducting a burn test, feeling and inspecting the fabric.

Care Instructions: Wash in warm water with other light weight fabrics. Do not wash with heavy items such as jeans and towels. Wash with like colors. Take out of the wash right after the wash cycle is complete and do not let the fabric sit in the washer. Immediately put the fabric into the dryer and dry completely on warm or hot. Take the fabric out immediately after the dryer cycle is complete. If harsh wrinkles appear, wash and dry again. I often wash my linen fabrics twice to get that nice rumpled but not wrinkled texture.
Note: Natural fiber fabrics usually fade and wear after use. This can sometimes lend a welcome worn-in or vintage appeal, however, if that isn't the look you are going for and you want to keep the integrity of the original colors and/finish, we suggest hand washing your fabric or garment in cold water and line drying. Always pretreat your fabric in the same manner that you intend for your finished garment.
